Love the shoes, just wish I could see the fabulous pedicure underneath! So glad to hear that your recovery is coming along, and most importantly that you're home. It is indeed the "best news yet."
Incidentally, I am now checking your blog every day before I go onto perezhilton.com, so I am very glad to hear that in addition to updates on you, I can also count on "news" about Anna Nicole. lol! Keep up the good work, Joan!
LMG - Sorry about the asymmetry! We'll have a lopsided recovery party very soon. Glad to hear you're doing ok, too. I'm thinking of you everyday. Have you tried microwavable slippers and/or blankets? Mine are lavendar scented. Delightful.....
WOW...that was a lot of writing and stimuli for your first day home...take it SLOOOOW ;-)
Yeah...Anna Nicole...accidental overdose...like you accidentally inject so may drugs in your butt that you end up with what the Post described as a "deep-seated puss-filled 3-by-2 1/2-by-2 centimeter abscess" on your left...not right buttock!! AND you have handlers all around you and NO ONE calls 911 for almost a full day until they knew the ride to the hospital would be the end. Lots of loving friends she had!! I think Geraldo needs to open an investigation!!
Sounds like you made out better with the stomach stuff filling the hole in your skull. That was a new one on me and conjured up some pretty disturbing pictures in my feeble mind ;-)
Miss you tons here at work, but so glad to hear and see from the bunny slippers you are on the road to recovery.
And oh...a piece of TV programming news for you...
Our gal pal Sue Maserjian is going to be a featured model on a segment of the Today Show!! April 5th between 800 - 930 am she is on a spring trend segment so check her out if you can!!
Last, but not least...my husband is anxious to know if you brought the pesky tumor home?
Lorri!! Yes - the writing comes in bursts between Percocet tabs. Terry keeps walking over to the couch with my "next dose" in a sake cup. Wait, just now he went to go check on the yacht. Hmm. I'm going to check my butt for abscesses...
On the tumor - I asked if I could take it home. I was told no one had ever asked that before. I find that hard to believe. It's in a pathologist's lab as we speak.
OK - Terence is making me take a walk down the hall. He's quite the slave driver, apparently. Who knew?
I'm Joan Voltz. Welcome to my blog. It was started to keep family and friends up to date on my recovery from a medical procedure I had in March 2007 (excise of an acoustic neuroma, aka: surgical removal of a brain tumor). It has devolved into pure silliness.

Well it's clear you have come through your ordeal with funny bone intact--the key to a rapid recovery.
Loved your list of highs/lows. If it makes you feel any better, come over to my place and you can see some REAL post-surgical asymmetry!
So glad you are up and around in your bunny slippers.
We are thinking of you--
L & R
Asymmetry? Think about us lefties and the kicks we get with watching all you righties rely only on your left brains. Hilarious.
Delighted to hear you are home and recovering with all the style we have come to expect, nay DEMAND - from our Joan.
love Babs
