Noon on Friday - Out of Bed!

The patient is out of bed and sitting in a chair for the first time since surgery.

Still a little dizzy - a feeling she described as "like when you were in college, and you had WAY too much to drink, and you get bedspins?"

The ridiculously arcane details of Joan's recovery will continue as they come in....stay tuned.

So happy to hear the recovery's going well. Tell Joan that the gang at Ogilvy can't wait until she's back so we can feed her some Guinness, and she can get those spins the right way!

Keep up the good work! ;)

Miss Joanie -
Now that you've had your 'dizzy' rush get back to bed and continue to get well, relax and be pampered by Terry ;)
No overachieving required on the road to recovery!!

Hi Joan,

I'm so glad to hear that everything went well and that you've had a textbook recovery! The dizziness is a major drag, but I'm just so happy that you're healthy in every other respect, that it pales in comparison to all those other concerns.

I talked to Terry this morning and he told me about your blog -- what a fantastic idea! When you feel like chatting, I'll give you a call so we can catch up -- you know, movies, restaurants, hair, clothing, decorating, brain surgery, the usual.

In the meantime, relax and recover at a leisurely pace. I'm so thrilled that you came through with flying colors.

Lots of love,
Claudia

Go Joanie.

Glad to hear.

Don't rush: once you get out all you get is Terry's slop; you're better off with the hospital food.

Joan we are so happy that the surgery and recovery period have been successful. You've been in our prayers. I have been checking the site daily though my ability to post my response has not been working on my computer. Hopefully this one takes. I honestly bust a gut looking at that picture of you with your white gauze. Are you guys employed by Getty Images on the side? XOXO Dani, Greg and Lily

JV,

The news keeps getting better. Thanks to Terry, we've been getting it with good frequency.

BTW, I hope you kept the neuroma as we discussed -- for a shrine, appetizer, or perhaps to keep in a nutsy way as a pocket friend.

Looking forward to geeting your editorials about Lost, The View, and C-Span. It seems with your fast recovery they're right around the corner.
